From TV host to Producer and Director, Emmy award winning television personality, Victoria Recaño has captivated audiences on both the big and small screen. Currently, she is developing her own reality-based TV shows, as well as working as a special guest contributor to Gourmet, which digitally re-launched as Gourmet Live.
After five seasons as a host and correspondent for CBS’s “The Insider” and Entertainment Tonight”, the top syndicated entertainment news magazines in the world, Victoria joined the KTLA news team as co-anchor of the 6 and 10pm newscasts. She covered breaking news and the stories that matter most to the Los Angeles community.
Sitting down with some of the most celebrated people of our time, from Bill Gates and Barack Obama to Reese Witherspoon and Barry Manilow, Victoria has an innate ability to unlock the secrets of the stars and get to the heart of issues that matter.
Always on the move, Victoria has flown alongside Air Force One with the White House Press corps and has dared to get behind the wheel with racecar driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. From the red carpet at the Oscar’s to the democratic debates, she is always on the inside track when it comes to current events and celebrity news.
Landing her first on-camera gig in high school as a host for “The Disney Afternoon”, Victoria quickly moved up the ranks to become a general assignment reporter in her hometown of St. Louis. At the height of the tech boom, Victoria was named the anchor of ZDTV News, later renamed Tech TV, in San Francisco. Then, after a brief stint at NBC’s KNTV, Victoria made her way to the big apple, taking a position as a correspondent for Inside Edition.
Victoria enjoys every dining around the globe and as a special guest critic for GAYOT.com. Her love for all things food-related has led her to cook alongside, world-renowned chefs, including Jean George Vongerichten and Wolfgang Puck.
Throughout her career, Victoria has continued serving her community through various programs including, Food Outreach and the ZATA Project, organizations providing care to HIV/AIDS-infected patients, as well as volunteering for Catholic Charities of Los Angeles.
Currently, Recaño resides in LA with her husband and daughter where she enjoys traveling, dance, and of course, lots of time in the kitchen.
